Privacy Policy

Limbus Health (“Limbus”, “we”) is a clinician-led effort founded by Dr. Marie Claire Bourque, MD, FRCPC. This policy explains how we handle the limited information collected through this website’s waitlist. It is written to align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Your email address, when you submit it to the waitlist.
• Your consent and its timestamp, recorded when you check the consent box.
• A one-way hashed record of your IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse. We never store your raw IP address.

For the waitlist, that is all. We do not collect names, phone numbers, health information, or any clinical data through the waitlist. The waitlist is not a clinical service. (The investor deck request form collects optional additional information — see the Investor deck requests section below.)

How we use it

We use your email only to confirm your signup (double opt-in) and to send you waitlist and product updates you’ve asked for. After you confirm, we send you a single welcome email describing what you’ve joined; beyond that, we email only occasionally, when there is something real to share. We do not sell, rent, or share your email, and we never add you to a third-party advertising or marketing list.

Our email messages are sent in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): you opt in explicitly when you check the consent box at signup, and every message we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Double opt-in

When you sign up, we send a confirmation link to your email. You are not added to the active waitlist until you click it. Unconfirmed signups expire and are deleted after 24 hours.

Where your data is stored

Your information is stored in infrastructure we control (a managed Postgres database), not on a third-party marketing platform. Transactional confirmation emails are delivered through our email provider solely to send the message to you.

Analytics

Any analytics we use are privacy-respecting and cookie-light: no cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels, and no selling of usage data.

Retention

We keep your email until you ask us to remove it or the waitlist is no longer needed. You can have it deleted at any time.

Your rights & how to be deleted

Under PIPEDA you may access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To remove your email from the waitlist:

• Click the “remove this address” link in any email we’ve sent you (self-serve, immediate), or
• Email [email protected] and we’ll delete it within 10 business days.

Investor deck requests

If you request our investor deck via the form on /investors, we collect and use the following information. This data is stored separately from the waitlist and is never merged with it.

• Your email address (required), to send you the investor deck as a private link and, if relevant, for the founder to follow up about investment.
• Name, company or firm, and how you heard about Limbus (all optional, only if you provide them). This information appears only in an internal notification to the founder; it is never included in the deck delivery email.
• Your consent and its timestamp, recorded when you check the consent box. Purpose is specific: sending the deck and following up about investment only.
• A one-way hashed record of your IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse. We never store your raw IP address.

Why: to send you the investor deck via a private link, and so the founder can follow up about investment if relevant. This information is never used for marketing or merged with our waitlist.

Retention: we keep deck request records for 2 years from the date of request, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.

How to delete your deck request data:

• Click the "Remove my data" link in any deck-related email we've sent you (self-serve, immediate), or
• Email [email protected] and we'll delete it within 10 business days.

Deck request data is stored separately from our waitlist and is never merged with it.

Regulatory status

Limbus is a software medical device in development. Authorization from Health Canada is pending, and Limbus is not yet authorized for clinical use (as of June 2026). This website does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.
