01 · Boilerplate

Boilerplate — short · ~60 words

Limbus Health is developing two separately governed clinical-software products. LimbusHealth Assess is adult ADHD assessment software for patients and doctors: the patient completes a guided history, screening questionnaires, and an adaptive text interview; Limbus prepares a source-linked draft assessment report; and the doctor reviews, corrects, speaks with the patient, and decides. LimbusHealth Treat is being developed separately for clinician-directed digital CBT with ERP for adults with OCD. Both are in development and neither is authorized for clinical use.

Boilerplate — long · ~190 words

Limbus Health is a clinician-led company developing clinical software for assessment and treatment. It was founded by Dr. Marie Claire Bourque, MD, FRCPC, a practicing psychiatrist in British Columbia and Ontario and the company’s sole developer.

LimbusHealth Assess is adult ADHD assessment software being developed for patients and doctors. Before the appointment, the patient completes a guided history, screening questionnaires, and an adaptive text interview. Limbus links each finding to the patient’s source answer, preserves contradictions and missing evidence, and prepares a draft assessment report. The doctor reviews and corrects the report, speaks with the patient, decides whether ADHD is the right diagnosis, and finalizes the clinical record.

LimbusHealth Treat is a separate product being developed for clinician-directed CBT with exposure and response prevention for adults with OCD. Its planned core is a deterministic treatment workflow; AI may assist communication or drafting but does not own diagnosis, treatment selection, progression, safety, or discharge decisions.

Both products are in development and neither is authorized for clinical use. For LimbusHealth Assess, the Canadian classification and authorization pathway remains unresolved as of August 2026. Limbus makes no claim of diagnostic accuracy, treatment effectiveness, or clinical validation. Limbus Health is based in British Columbia, Canada.

Founder bio — approved · ~80 words

Dr. Marie Claire Bourque, MD, FRCPC, is a Royal College–certified psychiatrist practicing in British Columbia and Ontario, and the founder of Limbus Health. Her career on the front line of the access gap — emergency departments, inpatient wards, and outpatient assessment — led her to build clinician-led infrastructure that brings structure and rigor to psychiatric assessment. She is Limbus Health’s founder and sole developer, pairing clinical judgment with the engineering to deliver it.

Dr. Bourque is available to journalists as an expert source on AI in psychiatry, software-as-a-medical-device regulation in Canada, and access to mental-health care. Contact:[email protected].
